Anouk Renière-Lafrenière is a seven-time national junior champion with more than 20 podium finishes in international competition in solo and duet. At her first Olympics this summer in Athens she'll compete in the team event. The psychology student was on the Canadian team at the 2001 world championships and 2002 Commonwealth Games.

She started synchronized swimming at age nine and one of her biggest thrills early in her career was being Quebec's flag bearer at the Canada Games in 2001 where she helped her team to the gold medal. She was also second in the solo event at the 2001 world junior championships.
