Erin Chan's first introduction to the pool came when she was a toddler and her mother took her to "aquatot" classes. After seeing synchro on TV, she was hooked. At the age of seven, she started her training in Regina and moved to Calgary when she was 12.
Along with the gold medal she won with the team at last summer's Pan American Games, she's collected medals from international meets such as Athens Synchro, and the Swiss, German and Roma Opens.
She credits her mother, father and sister, as being the most influential people in her life. She is a member of VIEWS, a group that inspires equity for women and sport and physical activity. She was a member of Canada's bronze medal winning team at the Sydney Games.
