Kim Sarrazin is the only player from the province of Quebec on the women's Olympic softball team. Athens is her first Olympic Games but she has competed internationally at three Canada Cups and last year1s Pan Am Games. She also played for Quebec at the 1993 Canada Summer Games.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education from Eastern Kentucky University where she also starred on the field from 1996-2000. She currently works as a personal trainer at Nautilus Plus in St-Eustache.
Eastern Kentucky head coach Jane Worthington wasn1t surprised to see Sarrazin earn a berth on the Canadian Olympic team.
"Kim worked very hard to get where she is," said Worthington. "She was very raw when she came to Eastern, but her work ethic was so tremendous she only could improve."
