Lauren Bay is a lefthanded pitcher for the Canadian women's softball team.

She is in her fifth year at Oklahoma University where she studies international business.

A member of Canada's 2002 world championship team and the 1999 world junior squad, these are her first Olympic Games.

Bay comes from an athletically gifted family. Her brother Jason is professional baseball player. He was drafted in 2000 by the Montreal Expos and is currently in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. Her uncle Gerry Moro was a three-time Olympian in the decathlon.

In 2003 she had a great season at Oklahoma and was honored as the school's and state's athlete of the year.
