Joe Stankevicius has been part of Canada’s last three world championship eights crews including the 2002 and 2003 gold medalists. His first international success was in 2000 when he won silver in pairs with Kevin Light at the under-23 worlds. He is also the current national pairs champion with Andrew Hoskins.
