Sabrina Kolker headed to the Canadian national team last year on the heels of a superb rowing and academic career at Stanford University in California. She didn't disappoint helping Canada's women's fours crew to fourth place at the world championships last year.

At Stanford she was a three-time All American and three-time all Pac-10 team and was captain of the women's crew for three years. In 2003 the school was ranked number-one in the U.S., in the women's eights and won bronze at the NCAA championships.

Kolker graduated with a BA (a major in English, minor in biology) and a Masters in French. Her ambition is to become a reconstructive surgeon specializing in burns and trauma.
