Amy Cotton started practicing judo at age six and has battled juvenile arthritis to become one of the best in the world in her sport.

She is a five-time national champion and has earned a pocketful of medals in international competition. Athens is her first Olympic Games.

She won bronze medals at both the 2003 Pan Am Games and 2001 Francophone Games. She enjoys teaching the sport and reading. Athens is her first Olympic participation.
