Marie-Hélène Chisholm, who competes in the women's 70 kilos category, left her Port-Cartier home eight years ago to train at the national training centre in Varennes, Que. Her biggest influence was Lyne Poirier, a former national judo team member, also from Port-Cartier.
As a youngster Chisholm played softball and she is also a former national bench press champion. She is interested in a career in the tourism industry. Athens is her first Olympic Games.
