Belinda Trussell was born in Australia and has lived in Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Atlanta. It was in the U.S., city at age six that she first became interested in horses. She began to ride seriously at age 10 in the Philippines.
She was a member of the 2002 World Equestrian Games team and competed at the European championships and World Cup final this year aboard Royan II, a 14-year-old brown Oldenburg gelding. Trussell owns and operates Oakcrest Farms a Canadian dressage facility that has 19 horses in training. She also played field hockey and was a rower in college.
