Christopher Kalec joins Alexandre Despatie as Canada's two entries on men's 10-metre tower at the Olympic Games. Kalec won a tight race for that second spot at the team trials to land a berth on his second consecutive Olympic team.

He's been a member of Canadian teams at two Pan Am games as well as World Cups and world championships. He started diving at age seven in Pointe-Claire but is now based at Montreal's powerful CAMO Club.

He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (marketing/entrepreneurship) at McGill University in Montreal and plans to graduate in April 2005. He is also currently the general manager of the Laval Diving Club.
