Sue Palmer-Komar heads to her second Olympic Games in Athens. Her previous appearance was in Atlanta in 1996 and she placed 10th in the road race. For Athens she has qualified for both the road race and the individual time trial.

The full time athlete and mother assured herself a spot on the Olympic team this summer by winning the time trial at the Canadian championships finishing 41 seconds ahead of defending champion Lyne Bessette. It was the first time in her career she had reached the podium in a time trial. The 2002 Commonwealth Games silver medallist is best known for her climbing ability.
