Jillian D'Alessio is a member of one of Canada's most consistently strong international crews. The women's K-4 500. Only 19, D'Alessio is compiling an impressive international record (she's won more than 20 medals for Canada on international waters) which already which makes her a top prospect for the future.

Last year she posted two top-10 results at the world juniors and helped Canada to gold in the K-4 500 at the Pan Am Games. In 2002, she won three gold medals at the Pan Am canoe and kayak championships.

She and her sister were both avid paddlers but her sibling was forced to eventually abandon due to cystic fibrosis.
