Tamas Jr. and Attila Buday are veterans on the international paddling circuit and their third Olympics could be their last.
"It could be our last one we're going for," said Tamas, the youngest of the pair who paddles at the front end of the boat. "The cherry on top would be a medal with my bro."
Certainly international performances since the Sydney Games show they should be in the thick of the hunt. Last year, they reached three finals, which included a silver in the C-4 1,000, at the world championships. They also earned three World Cup medals last summer in C-2 races.
Tamas was born only a few weeks before his father won two Olympic medals in Montreal and gained the Olympic berth at the very same basin this past May.
Tamas Buday Jr., was named Canada's male junior athlete of the year for his double gold performance at the Junior World Cup final.
