Annie Martin and Guylaine Dumont joined forces in 2002 and seem to improve at every event they enter. At their final FIVB World Tour competition before the Olympic Games they posted a career high fourth place finish.
Martin called Dumont in the winter of 2002 to ask is she was interested in forming a partnership. Dumont, who was now a mother, initially refused but eventually called Dumont to say it was all systems go.
Like Dumont, Martin is an excellent indoor player with l'Universite de Sherbrooke. She was Canadian university rookie of the year in 2001 and an All Canadian in 2002.
