MANCHESTER, England (AP) - England fast bowler James Kirtley broke his right hand in practice at Old Trafford on Saturday and will be out of action for at least six weeks.
Kirtley will miss the remainder of the triangular series including the final against India at Lord's on July 13. Kirtley took a blow to his hand while trying to field off his own bowling while practising on the eve of England's one-day match against Sri Lanka. England selectors were undecided Saturday as to whether to call up a replacement for its two round robin matches against Sri Lanka and India at The Oval on Tuesday. Fast bowler Alex Tudor is expected to make his one-day international debut after been overlooked so far.
Darren Gough, who missed the three-test series against Sri Lanka as he recovered from a knee surgery, led the England attack in the last two games.
The home side is already without experienced swing bowler Andy Caddick, who was ruled out of the series with a tear in his right side.
