OTTAWA - The Ottawa Renegades announced the launch of Game Plan 2004, the community organization that will make preparations for the 2004 Grey Cup in Ottawa, on May 7 at Ottawa City Hall (Jean Piggot Hall).
The 92nd Grey Cup will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2004 at Frank Clair Stadium (Lansdowne Park). Kickoff for Canada's largest sporting event is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Speaking on behalf of Game Plan 2004 during the launch were Ottawa Mayor Bob Chiarelli; Brent Scrimshaw, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Canadian Football League; Randy Gillies, CEO and Chairman of the Renegades; and Brad Watters, President of the Renegades.
Game Plan 2004 organizing team will expand to include Ottawa football fans, business groups, the tourism industry, and the various communities throughout the Ottawa-Gatineau region.

Frank Clair Stadium, home of the Renegades, will undergo major changes in preparation for the 2004 Grey Cup. Temporary seating will be added in both end zones to bring capacity for the game to over 57,000. The capacity of Frank Clair Stadium for a Renegades football game is 27,695.
Preliminary ideas for the 2004 Grey Cup Festival include a Grey Cup Welcome Centre at Ottawa City Hall, street parties in the Byward Market, and a Grey Cup concert and other community-oriented events and attractions at Lansdowne Park.
The Renegades also announced that holders of season tickets for the 2004 season will have first opportunity to purchase tickets for the same seats for Grey Cup 2004. Holders of Renegades Flex-Packs for the 2004 season will also receive Grey Cup 2004 ticket purchase priority.
