Owen documentary on the way

By GREG OLIVER -- SLAM! Wrestling

Owen Hart gets the better of his brother Bret in a WWF match.
The life and times of Owen Hart will be celebrated later this year by the folks who brought us Hitman Hart: Wrestling With Shadows.

Award-winning director Paul Jay is teaming up to co-direct a documentary with Sally Blake at High Road Productions.

According to Blake, their project will be more of a tribute than a biography to Owen Hart, who died in a freak accident in Kansas City in May.

High Road Productions has a deal in place to air the documentary on A&E in November, and in Canada, it will likely be on the A-Channel in Alberta and TVO in Ontario.

The directors are hitting the road to collect remembrances from those who knew Owen best. Plus, they had some footage of Owen Hart from the production of Hitman Hart: Wrestling With Shadows.
