More than 150 local NFL/CFL Flag Football players participate in Super Clinic
What: NFL 'Hometown Hero' clinics are an effort to encourage the growth of football by celebrating Canadian NFL players in the areas where they grew up.
"I'm living proof that a player who learned and played amateur football right here in Manitoba can make it to the NFL," said Idonije, who joined local coaches on the field to lead drills at the clinic. "This NFL 'Hometown Hero' Super Clinic helped kick-off the flag football season, and encouraged young people already playing football to stay involved with the game for many years to come."
The clinic coincided with the official 'Flag Football Days' opening weekend of Football Manitoba's 2007 NFL/CFL Flag Football intramural season.

-- 150 Football Manitoba NFL/CFL Flag Football participants (teams from the league were randomly selected to participate. More than 1,100 local youth will participate in the overall league this year).
When: The clinic was held Saturday, April 28, 2007, 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
