- Vancouver's Jerome Pathon has scored a few TDs this spring, but isn't a lock for a job with the Seahawks. "As far as distancing himself from the pack, I would say they're all competing. It's very close still," Coach Holmgren told a local paper recently.
- Once dismissed as a "token" Canadian at the CFL Edmonton Eskimos training camp in 2004, Raymond Alberta's Brock Ralph is still alive in his fight for a spot on the New York Jets main or practice rosters. Brock, who is an unselfish receiver who runs very solid routes, was once the Alberta Provincial High School 100m and Triple Jump champion.
- Toronto's Kerry Carter has been carrying the bulk of the load in the Seahawks backfield this spring. Maurice Morris and Shaun Alexander (the backs ahead of Carter on the depth chart) are nursing injuries, and the team is also giving Carter a long look as a potential starting fullback.
- Anthony Maddox, a defensive end and 4th round selection by Jacksonville in 2004, recently bested Windsor's Brett Romberg (OL) in scrimmage. According to the Jaguars web site Maddox executed the "Oklahoma" drill to defensive line perfection by standing Romberg up, shedding him, and easily penetrating the line of scrimmage.
- Burlington Ontario’s Jesse Lumsden, a runningback and the 2004 CIS Hec Crighton Trophy winner, was waived by the Seattle Seahawks.
