Eagle Mike Labinjo, a 24-year old linebacker and Special Teams player from Toronto, guided the Toronto St. Michael's Majors (HS) to the 1998 Metro Bowl Championship. Labinjo tallied 2,600 all-purpose yards and 19 touchdowns that season as a running back. Labinjo switched to linebacker at Michigan State, and was signed as a rookie free agent by the Eagles in 2004.

The Director of College Scouting for the Patriots, Thomas Dimitroff, captained the CIS University of Guelph Gryphons from 1987 to 1989. Dimitroff also served as the Canadian Scouting Coordinator for the Saskatchhewan Roughriders in 1990 and 1991.

Ryan Grigson, the Western Regional Scout for the Eagles, played on the offensive line for the CFL Toronto Argonauts in 1997 and became a Pro Scout for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1998.

New England QB Tom Brady was drafted in the 18th round of the 1995 Major League Baseball Draft as a catcher by the Montreal Expos.

New England Defensive Coordinator Romeo Crennell is a native of Virginia, but his brother Carl played linebacker for the CFL Hamilton Tiger Cats.

The Super Bowl is made available to an estimated audience of 800 million in 229 countries and territories, including Canada.
