4-3 Cover 3 The 4-3 Cover 3 defense brings the Strong Safety closer to the line and gives the defense an extra player to defend against the run.	4-3 Inside Blitz Cover 0 Every effective defense must have a blitz package to break the offense's rhythm.	3-4 Double-Hard Cover 2 This is a common scheme in which five defenders rush and the defense employs zone coverage.
3-4 All Blitz This is a 3-4 version of an all-out blitz in which all four linebackers blitz the QB.
12 Man Defenses
Sam and Will Fire Cover 0 This defense will put pressure on the QB from within the Read 4-3 defensive scheme.	Inside Cross Blitz Cover 1 Another blitz from the Shaded 3-4 scheme, which is effective against man protection pass blocking schemes.	Strong Middle Cover 1 The blitz from the Shaded 3-4 scheme puts immediate inside pressure on the offense, as both inside linebackers rush into the B-Gap to their alignment side.
Attack 4-3 The Attack 4-3 defense has four defensive linemen, three linebackers, two halfbacks and three defensive backs in the game. This scheme is best when applying pressure on the quarterback and playing man coverage.
