Saturday, October 31, 1998 Coyotes trade Ronning, Lintner to NashvillePHOENIX (CP) -- The Phoenix Coyotes have traded centre Cliff Ronning and minor-league defenceman Richard Lintner to the Nashville Predators for future considerations, the Coyotes announced today.Ronning, five-foot-eight and 164 pounds, has two goals and five assists in seven games for the Coyotes. The 33-year-old from Burnaby, B.C., will be paid $1.35 million US this season and becomes an unrestricted free agent in 1999. Ronning, a 12-year NHL veteran, scored 11 goals and had 44 assists in 80 games for Phoenix last season. Lintner, 20, has an assist and 16 penalty minutes in seven games with the AHL's Springfield Falcons. The Coyotes drafted the six-foot-three, 215-pound Slovakian blue-liner in the fifth round of the 1996 entry draft.
