Monday, November 29, 1999 Forsberg's return boosts AvalancheDENVER (CP) -- All Peter Forsberg did in his first game of the season was score two goals and assist on three in a 7-1 win Saturday night over the Calgary Flames. Coach Bob Hartley didn't seem surprised."Great superstars always have special ways of doing things," said Hartley. "He's worked so hard and he wanted to play so bad and was so eager to come back. "We saw the real Peter, and that's great news for us." Forsberg had surgery June 29 to repair an unstable left shoulder and missed trained camp and Colorado's first 23 games. "I was so nervous before the game that I could barely sleep," Forsberg told the Rocky Mountain News. "I didn't know what to expect, and to get the first goal on the first shift, that was so good. After that, I just kept working."
