Sunday, June 6, 1999 Foote tries to look on the bright sideDENVER (CP) -- Colorado Avalanche defenceman Adam Foote tried to find the silver lining in a very grey cloud after his team was eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs by the Dallas Stars on Friday."In the past, we've been questioned since we won the Cup about our character," Foote told the Rocky Mountain News over the weekend. "If there is anything we can take out of this playoff run, it's the adversity we had to face in all three rounds, the roller-coaster ride of emotions. We bounced back. We were in trouble in the San Jose series and we were in trouble in the Detroit series. That's playoff hockey and we showed a lot of character and guts." Said defenceman Aaron Miller: "I don't think a lot of people really understand what it takes to win playoff hockey," defenceman Aaron Miller said. "Every game is a battle. We really came together as a team. We worked hard. It's tough to lose anytime, but (to lose) in Game 7 to go to the Cup finals really hurts. The effort was there but it just didn't go our way."
