Forsberg healthy and ready to go
STOCKHOLM (AP) -- Peter Forsberg says his left shoulder has mended well after surgery and he is ready for the upcoming NHL season."I can't tackle or shoot any pucks yet," the Colorado Avalanche centre was quoted as saying by the Swedish news agency TT.
"The doctors said it looks fine and I think I can play full-speed in early November. But I must be 100 per cent well before I attempt a comeback."
He was rookie of the year in 1995.
Forsberg, who had surgery in June, plans to fly to the United States on Thursday.
