Former Quebec Nordiques' captain Marc Tardif stickhandles away from Islander Steve Tambellini during an exhibition game on October 3, 1979 at Le Colisee in Quebec City. After the 1994-95 season, the Nordiques, originally a team in the old World Hockey Association, moved to Colorado to become the Avalanche.
