Friday, November 26, 1999 Savard's improved play noted by SutterCALGARY (CP) -- Marc Savard made such a poor impression with coach Brian Sutter early in the season that the Calgary Flames discussed shipped him to the minors. All seems to be forgiven."He has lived solely on his offence and the rest of his game wasn't a concern," Sutter told the Calgary Sun. "He didn't have respect for playing away from the puck and, as a result, teammates couldn't have respect for him." Now, Savard has moved into third spot in team scoring as he puts more effort into playing a two-way game. He's helped the Flames win three games in a row. "We have a different player now than at the start of the season," said Sutter. "Marc Savard is learning to be accountable."
