    Injured Smith braced for long wait

     CALGARY (CP) -- The Flames knew it was coming, though it didn't make the news any easier to take. They'll be without their captain, Steve Smith, for a minimum of six weeks.
     
     "The important thing for me is to remain positive around our locker room," the Flames captain told the Calgary Herald.
     
     The Flames are also without defencemen Denis Gauthier (shoulder) and Wade Belak (concussion).
