Ricky Martin eBay problem

CBS is the lucky network that gets to air the first Ricky Martin special but executives are getting grey hair as advanced copies go on sale on eBay.

Two anonymous people have posted advance copies of the special, EW Online reported.

The first tape to go on sale from Seattle, Wash., was quickly bought back by CBS for $305.

Now, another copy of the tape is posted on eBay out of New Jersey. The auction for the tape closes on Saturday and CBS plans to buy that copy too.

Spokespeople from CBS say they're contacting eBay lawyers to try to prevent "unauthorised marketing".

"If anybody believes there is legal infringement," said eBay spokesman Kevin Pursglove, "we will act as fast as we possibly can."

CBS now knows the identity of the first tape-seller. The seller had to identify himself in order to get the check from the network.
