François-Louis Tremblay -- the Boucherville Bomber -- enjoyed two very successful seasons with the Canadian team prior to this year which
included triple gold at the Winter Goodwill Games, a national title and gold at the world team championships in 2000.
Last year on the World Cup circuit he was third in the overall standings as well as second in the 500 and first in the relay. At the junior level he
won the world title in 1998.
However he has struggled this season and at the recent trials he came dangerously close to not making the team altogether placing fifth overall.
That leaves him in a position that he could be a substitute at the Games.
