 NHL Club: New York Islanders

 Birthplace: Toronto, ON

THE SKINNY:
One of the best two-way centres in the NHL, he won the Selke Trophy in 1996-97... Though not that big, he's one of the league's biggest open-ice hitters... Can kill penalties and will likely be the guy coach Pat Quinn will put up against the other team's top offensive threat... Missed all of last season in a contract dispute with the Buffalo Sabres... Has some solid international experience as he won a gold with the world junior team in 1994... Captained Canada's team at the world championships last year and played with a broken cheekbone... Anybody playing Team Canada when he's on the ice better keep their heads up... Picked 40th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in 1992 draft...

FAMOUS FOR:
Bringing home the bacon.

INFAMOUS FOR:
Grocery store commercials.

SHOOTOUT POTENTIAL:
Has never had an NHL penalty shot.
