Grant Albrecht will race in luge doubles with partner
Mike Moffat. They had a great start to the World Cup season this year placing seventh at
the opening stop in Calgary. They were actually fourth after the first run.
It's their fourth season together. Albrecht feels the Canadians need to gain experience fast because their European opponents are usually
much older and are basically career lugers.
"The Europeans are professionals and it's not the same for us," said Albrecht, who is also working towards becoming a carpenter. "Over there
it's a major sport compared to here so it's difficult to compete with that. But it provides us with the motivation to show them that we can
compete."

Feb. 15 - Men's doubles: Grant Albrecht and Mike Moffat, both Calgary, were 12th.
