Olympic gold medalist Nikki Stone, left, and Bill Spencer, right, hold up the Olympic flame as it arrived aboard a Delta Air Lines jet at Mercury Aviation in Atlanta from Athens, Greece Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, on the first U.S. stop of its journey to Salt Lake City. After a short ceremony the torch began a motorcade trip to Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta. Olympic gold medalist Bonnie Blair and her mother Eleanor look on. Spencer is a biathlete who competed in the 1964 and 1968 Olympics.
