The Softball Centre for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games is located in Aquilina Reserve, Blacktown, 22 kilometres west of Homebush Bay.
The centre includes one competition field with a dugout and electronic scoreboard, plus two training fields with manual scoreboards and ground-level team shelters. The main competition field has an optimum south-easterly orientation.
It includes two training diamonds, and 1000 permanent seats. Temporary seating will be added for the Games increasing the number of seats to 8000.
It is also the second venue for Olympic baseball. The baseball centre will be used for preliminary matches and as a training facility. It includes lighting to meet international requirements.
