Located in the Sydney Harbour Zone, the Convention Centre was built during Australia's Bicentennial year in 1988.
This building is no stranger to Sydney 2000 fervour, having hosted the Olympic bidding process and logo launch as well.
The seven-storey, 3,500 seat centre will hold the weightlifting program.
