The tear-shaped Main Arena is a major feature of the Sydney Showground. The grandstand and tiered grass banks provide seating for up to 20,000 spectators.
A unique element of the Arena's design is a 20 metre concourse, accessible from the Main Arena forecourt allowing spectators to walk the entire circumference of the arena.
When not used as for baseball, the stadium is a centre of activity for the annual Royal Easter Show. It continues the rich history of competitive events, Grand Parades and entertainment that are the highlights of the Show calendar.
The stadium opened its doors to the public in 1998.
