Liza Racine battled hard this spring for a spot on the women's K-4 500 team
but just fell short. However she'll travel to Sydney as the alternate.
Racine was a member of the 10th placed squad at last year's world
championships which guaranteed Canada an Olympic berth. A few weeks
earlier she helped the crew to gold at the Pan Am Games.
