Fiona Milne qualified for her first Olympics this year in lightweight
double sculls with partner Tracy Duncan of Saskatoon. Last season she
raced with Gen Meredith, who is the crew's spare, and they competed at the
world championships in St. Catharines, Ont. Milne's best international
result was second spot in the same event at a World Cup in Lucerne,
Switzerland in 1998.
Being in Australia won't be a new experience for Milne. In 1997 she
travelled to the Land Down Under and worked as a physiotherapist. She
also rowed at national events earning a bronze in single sculls that year
at the Australian nationals.
