Two-time national champion Katie Brambley qualified for the Olympic team in
the women's 4X200 freestyle relay as an alternate. She was a member of
the same relay at the world short course championships last year and they
placed fourth.
She made the team by finishing sixth in the 200 freestyle at the Olympic
trials in June. Just a few months earlier she placed 11th in the event at
the Spring Nationals. She was also a member of the 1995 Pan Am Games team
and won a bronze in the 400 freestyle.
